Six people have been taken to hospital with minor injuries after a bus flipped on Big White Road east of Kelowna, B.C.

The bus is still on its side, but the road has reopened after it was closed for a few hours.

A person is missing after a fire ripped through the fourth floor of an apartment on Craigflower Road in Esquimalt, B.C., Sunday afternoon. 

Esquimalt fire chief Chris Jankowski said crews tried to rescue the person, but they were unsuccessful. Jankowski said he assumes the victim has died, but that is still unconfirmed. 

When Peggy Mahoney discovered she had a rare liver condition and required a transplant, it came as a shock.

"No one saw it coming because I was a granola-eating, exercising, healthy person," said Mahoney, of Victoria.
