Christine, a Vancouver Television (VTV) host, fashion model, music director, and teacher, is passionate about helping the poor and fighting cancer.

In 2002, Christine lost her sister Laura Jane to cancer. In 2010, she thought of doing something to raise awareness in the fight against cancer. She rode a bike from Vancouver to Seattle and in the process, raised money for cancer research.

Christine is also bringing bikes to Morong, Rizal when she learned how some poor kids in the provinces quit school because they are too tired and hungry to walk a kilometer or 2 to school.

“I want to bring bicycles to these kids to encourage them to stay in school,” says Christine who first came face-to-face with poverty in the Philippines when she met some girls selling sampaguita flowers to make money.

Christine, who graduated with a degree in Music from the University of British Columbia, has already partnered with key persons in the Philippines to replicate the bike project in other provinces in the country.

Christine will continue teaching music to young people and doing her advocacy for the poor and the fight against cancer.
