North Vancouver - If the Philippines follows the US law on citizenship, Tim Tebow, former Heisman Trophy Awardee and former Denver Bronco’s quarterback would have been a natural-born Filipino citizen. Tim was born in Makati, Philippines but the Republic follows “jus sanguinis,” which is citizenship by blood and not where you were born.

Despite this, Tim is as much a Pinoy as any Filipino. He loves the Philippine countryside and helps his Dad ran their orphanage in South Cotabato whenever he has the chance.

“You don’t have to have lots of money or fame to be happy, “ declares TT. He continues, “As long as you realize you have a purpose in life as determined by God you will be fine.” “And what matters is you love what you do and you do it with passion,” he clarifies.

Tim recently reinvented himself to play in another sports, baseball. Unlike Jordan who switched to baseball when his basketball career was eclipsing, Tebow has still some gas left in his football tank. He played for 4 different teams including the Denver Broncos, NJ Jets, New England Patriots and most recently the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015.

He is now playing baseball with the NY Mets. He just hit his first homer in the instructional league. The Mets invested $100,000 to acquire him.  His brand jersey will definitely sell a lot because of his popularity.
