Filipinos in Vancouver are excited for the performance of Arnel Pineda as part of his North America tour.

Pineda is touring as a solo artist to promote his AP album which features all-original songs written and produced by Arnel himself. Some of the tracks were written as far back as 2000.

The Filipino artist has been the lead singer of legendary American rock band Journey for 10 years already, performing with the band all around the world, including the biggest venues like the Hollywood Bowl, Wembley Arena, and the Tokyo Budokan.

“I will be performing my compositions, classics and favorite covers. Of course, for my kababayan here,” said Pineda, who has collaborated with big names in the music industry like Foreigner, Deep Purple, Santana, Joan Jett, Rascal Flatts, and many more.

Promoter Boyie Yangco says it’s a great privilege to bring Arnel to Vancouver as part of his tour, while Marlon Parel, one of the sponsors, admits he is an avid fan of Journey ever since.

“When I heard Arnel is coming, I was very excited!” he exclaims.

Arnel performs on November 4 at the Massey Theatre, 735 Eight Avenue, New Westminster BC.
