That means there are a lot of fighters coming off big highlights, looking for new fights.

    Japan’s Saitama Super Arena will host a UFC Fight Night card this September.

    After not receiving an event in 2016, Japan will receive a live UFC event at the Saitama Super Arena on Saturday, September 23rd. The UFC made the announcement official in a press release sent out earlier this week.

    Alexander Volkov scored his first UFC stoppage in the UFC Fight Night 115 main event opposite fellow heavyweight giant Stefan Struve.

    Volkov, who is now 3-0 in the UFC and extended his winning streak to five in a row, went toe to toe with “The Skyscraper” from the opening bell to the moment referee Marc Goddard called a halt to the fight.

    In the main event of UFC Singapore, former women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm sought to end her three-fight losing skid against one-time title challenger Bethe Correia. It was hardly an entertaining fight, but Holm’s head kick finish sure was emphatic and got the fans out of their seats.
