    World Boxing Council World super flyweight champion Carlos “Principe” Cuadras (35-0-1, 27 KOs) believes he’s got the punching power and the speed to defeat former three division world champion Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez (45-0, 38 KOs) in their fight this Saturday night on HBO Championship Boxing at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

    World Boxing Council World super flyweight champion Carlos “Principe” Cuadras (35-1-1, 27 KOs) wasn’t too happy at losing his WBC 115lb belt to unbeaten pound-for-pound star Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez, (46-0-0, 38 KO’s) by a 12 round unanimous decision last Saturday night at The Forum in Inglewood, California. The hulking Cuadras, who looked like a featherweight in the ring last Saturday, claimed that he should have been given the decision by the judges.

  • Dana White going into boxing promotion

    Dana White, the UFC president, is planning on branching out and going into boxing promotion. White was recently involved in the mega-fight between UFC star Conor McGregor and former multi-division boxing star Floyd Mayweather Jr. on August 26 last summer in Las Vegas, Nevada.

    While the fight was viewed as a joke by hardcore boxing fans, it still caught on with the casual fans and the diehard MMA fans. The fight brought massive numbers of PPV buys, hitting over 4 million, and raking in tons of dough for both fighters.

  • Daniel Dubois in Moscow to spar with Alexander Povetkin

    Daniel Dubois (8-0, 8 KOs) has flown over to Moscow, Russia to assist Alexander Povetkin prepare for his title fight against IBF/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua on September 22 at Wembley Stadium in London, UK. The 6’5” Dubois will work as a sparring partner for the 38-year-old Povetkin to get him ready for what he’ll be dealing with when he gets inside the ring with the 6’6” Joshua next month.

  • Daniel Jacobs has power to hurt Golovkin says Mora

    Sergio Mora says WBA ‘regular” 160lb champion Danny Jacobs has the punching power to hurt IBF/IBO/WBA/WBC middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin if he can get to his chin in the first three rounds. Mora believes that Jacobs has the better overall punching power than Golovkin. However, he feels that Golovkin has the better technique, which will kick in after the 3rd round if he’s still in the fight.

    Mora sees Jacobs as having a suspect chin that Golovkin could take advantage of if he can get him past the third round.

    WBA World middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs (31-1, 28 KOs) will be fighting the unranked Sergio Mora (28-4-2, 9 KOs) in a rematch that few boxing fans want to see next month on September 9 at the Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania.

  • Daniel Jacobs to Golovkin: “Never ran and I never will!!!”

    WBA World middleweight champion Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs (32-1, 29 KOs) and IBF/IBO/WBA/WBC middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs) had a brief exchange earlier today on social media in which Jacobs, 29, let ‘him know that he wasn’t planning on running from him by not taking the fight. Golovkin vs. Jacobs shapes up to be a war from start to finish.

    Daniel Jacobs (34-2, 29 KOs) had to battle harder than expected to defeat previously unbeaten junior middleweight Maciej Sulecki (26-1, 10 KOs) in a WBA middleweight title eliminator match on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

  • Daniel Jacobs vs. Sergey Derevyanchenko headed to IBF purse bid on July 5

    The IBF ordered a purse bid for July 5 for the Daniel Jacobs vs. Sergey Derevyanchenko fight. The two fighters will be scrapping it out for the vacant International Boxing Federation middleweight title that was recently stripped from Gennady Golovkin for failing to commit to a title defense against IBF mandatory Derevyanchenko (12-0, 10 KOs) by the IBF mandated August 3 date.

  • Daniel Jacobs vs. Sergio Mora analysis

    WBA middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs (31-1, 28 KOs) will be defending his title against Sergio “The Latin Snake” Mora (28-4-2, 9 KOs) in a rematch in less than two weeks on Friday, September 9 at the Santander Arena in Reading, Pa. The Jacobs-Mora II rematch hasn’t caught the attention of boxing fans because it’s not a fight that is in demand at all, period.

  • Daniel Jacobs vs. Sergiy Derevyanchenko done deal for November 10

    Daniel Jacobs (34-2, 29 KOs) and Sergiy Derevyanchenko (12-0, 10 KOs) is now official for November 10 for the vacant IBF middleweight title on HBO, according to ESPN. Jacobs-Derevyanchenko will be the headliner fight. The undercard still hasn’t been put together at this time.

    Former WBA middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs (34-2, 29 KOs) and Sergiy Derevyanchenko (12-0, 10 KOs) are heading for November 10 for their clash for the vacant International Boxing Federation 160-pound title on HBO at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.

    The November 10 date still isn’t official as of yet, but that’s the date Jacobs’ and Derevyanchenko’s management are working on, according to Dan Rafael.

  • Danny Garcia not underestimating Samuel Vargas

    Danny Garcia (32-0, 18 KOs) won’t have his WBC welterweight title on the line next month in his 10 round fight against #6 WBA Samuel Vargas (25-2-1, 13 KOs) on November 12 at the Liacoursas Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Garcia isn’t underestimating the 5’9” Vargas even though the fight is seen as a major mismatch and just a tune-up fight. Garcia is expecting Vargas to be a tough fight for him.

    Undefeated WBC welterweight champion Danny “Swift” Garcia (32-0, 18 KOs) will be fighting on September 24 on Showtime Championship Boxing against an opponent still to be determined, according to Ring TV. Garcia has been idle for the past six months, and there were some who were wondering if he’s just going to sit on his new WBC belt like a mother hen rather than defending it.

  • Danny Garcia vs. Shawn Porter moved to Sept.8

    Danny Garcia and Shawn Porter will be fighting on September 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight title rather than the previously talked about date of August 25, according to Boxingtalk.com. The September 8 date has still not been officially announced.

    The two former world champions will be going after the WBC 147lb title that was recently vacated by inactive fighter Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman.

  • Danny Jacobs picking GGG to beat Canelo

    Saul “Canelo” Alvarez says he knows he’s going to beat Gennady Golovkin, and he’s always known that he was going to be the one to defeat him. Canelo says he doesn’t want to do a lot of talking but on September 16th, he’s going to show the boxing world what he’s already know when he meets up with the 35-year-old Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs).

  • Danny Jacobs signs with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom

    In a real surprising move, former WBA World middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs (32-2, 29 KOs) has signed with British promoter Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Sport promotions. Jacobs is known in the U.S. following his close 12 round unanimous decision loss to middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin last March on HBO PPV.

    Danny Jacobs (32-2, 29 KOs) will be fighting for the first time with his new promoters at Matchroom Boxing against Luis Arias (18-0, 9 KOs) on November 11 on HBO at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The Jacobs-Arias fight was announced to the public on Tuesday at a press conference in New York City.
