ARENA Grandmaster (AGM) and Fide Master (FM) Robert Suelo, a consistent winner of the Singapore chess circuit, stamped his class again by dominating the F1 Chess Challenge Arena online tournament last Saturday, October 3, 2020.


Suelo a former varsity player of the Rizal Technological University (RTU), tallied Arena 38 points to rule the online five minutes blitz tournament at lichess.org.
Arena Grandmaster (AGM) Marlon Bernardino, another ex-varsity player of RTU, notch 35 points took the second place honors.
But the biggest revelation in the 1-day event is the 11-year-old Ivan Cu who stood up against his older opposition.
Cu, the 2019 Singapore National Age-group first runner-up, took the third place honors who totes 28 points while journeyman Noel Jay Estacio from Iloilo province, placed fourth overll with 26 markers.
Rounding up to the top ten (10) finishers are 5th Renie Malupa (25 pts.), 6th Oshrie Jhames "OJ" Constantino Reyes (20), 7th JM Baliad (20), 8th Jamiel Piel (17), 9th George Quinto (16) and 10th Jomel Ortiz (13).-Marlon Bernardino-
