COUNTRY'S youngest Woman Fide Master Antonella Berthe Racasa will showcase her talent in the Eastern Asia Juniors and Girls Chess Championships to be held on December 9 to 16 at the Lima Park Hotel in Malvar, Batangas.


The 12 years old Racasa, a grade 6 pupil of VCIS - Home School Global will make her return to the chess world after she collected girls' U-12 crown during the Pattaya Chess Club Open 2019 age group chess championship held at the Bay Beach Resort in Pattaya, Thailand last October 19 to 23.
“I hope to do well in the upcoming Eastern Asia Juniors and Girls Chess Championships,” said Racasa.


"The gold medalist in Standard Chess shall receive a Grandmaster norm. Equal first shall receive the title of International Master. Silver and bronze medalists receive International Master norm ( and corresponding women's titles ) in accordance with FIDE title regulations." added International Memory Champion Robert Racasa, father and coach of Antonella Berthe.


Racasa's campaign International Chess Championship was supported by D. Edgard A. Cabangon of ALC group of companies, North Cotabato Vice Governor Emmylou "Lala" Mendoza, Mandaluyong Mayor Menchie Abalos, Councilor Charisse Abalos-Vargas and Engr. Rogelio SP Lim, President of RSP Lim Construction Co Inc. Owner and developer of the Boni Tower.


Racasa is also set to compete in the 36th Singapore National Age Group Chess Championships slated on December 27 to 30 at the 1 Expo Drive, MAX Atria @ Singapore Expo in Singapore.-Marlon Bernardino-
