Everything is set for the much awaited Raymond Transportation Open Chess Tournament with a theme "Kabataan Isulong Mo' Ang Tamang Tira" on November 16, 2019, 10am at the Church of Christ of the Latter-Day Saints, Barangay Tagbakin, Atimonan, Quezon Province.


It is supported by Raymond Transportation president eng. Raymond M. Escobar, Atimonan, Quezon mayor mayor Rustico U. Mendoza, councilor Rumel Verastigue, Golden J. Bistro and Siopao Center top honcho Conrado Acampado, Atimonan Chess Club president Ruben Alegre, engr. Gerry Vila, teacher Jason R. Par, Barangay San Rafael Elementary School Principal Ruben Belmonte and arbiter Medardo Hernandez.
"We do this to promote chess in the grass-roots level and discover future chess talents," said tournament organizer Pancho Cochangco.
The champion will pocket P5,000 plus gift, while the second to fifth placers will take home P3,000 plus gift, P2,000 plus gift, P1,500 plus gift and P1,000 plus gift, respectively.
Sixth to 10th placers will get P500 each plus gift.
Special prizes for the category winners will receive P300 each for the top senior, top college, top secondary, top elementary, top Atimonanin and top lady.
