The Philippines’ youngest Woman Fide Master (WFM) 45th seed Antonella Berthe “Tonelle” Murillo Racasa notched his third win against 32nd seed Nguyen Ha Khanh Linh (elo 1500) of Vietnam in the ninth round to create a 2-way tie for 4th place in the Under-12 Girls division of the World Cadet Chess Championships on Friday at the Yujing Hotel in Weifang, Shandong, China.

The 12-year-old Home School Global bet Racasa go for a win, eventually defeated Nguyen after 52 moves of London System Opening, King's Indian variation using the white pieces. It was a sweet revenge for Antonella Berthe because Nguyen beats her in the last Asian Youth in Sri Lanka according to his father/coach Robert Racasa, also an International Memory champion.

Second seed Ruiyang Yan (elo 1983) of the United States and 3rd seed Woman Candidate Master (WCM) Galina Mikheeva (elo 1952) of Russia toppled their respective rivals to remain on top with 8.0 points in nine outings.

Ruiyang nipped compatriot 26th seed Woman Candidate Master (WCM) Sophie Velea (elo 1533) of the United States while Mikheeva nipped 61st seed Qianyi Huang (elo 1247) of China.

8th seed Woman Candidate Master (WCM ) Alua Nurmanova (elo1850 ) of Kazakhstan upset top seed Woman Fide Master (WFM) Savitha Shri B (elo 2010) of India to score 7.5 points for solo third place.
