The Philippines’ youngest Woman Fide Master (WFM) Antonella Berthe “Tonelle” Murillo Racasa bounced back from a heart-breaking loss by halving the point with Rachel Ruoxuan Chen of Canada in the World Cadet Chess Championships being held at the Yujing Hotel in Weifang, Shandong, China on Friday.

The draw enabled the 12-year-old student of Home School Global bet Racasa to to raise her score to 1.5 points in three outings in the Under-12 girls’ division.

“Antonella Berthe drew with Rachel Ruoxuan Chen of Canada in Round 3." said father/coach Roberto Racasa, also an International Memory champion, dubbed as the founder and father of Memory Sports in the Philippines.

Her China trip is sponsored by Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor) chair and CEO Andrea Domingo, D. Edgard Cabangon of ALC Group of companies, Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos and Councilor Charisse Abalos, Mr. Rogelio Lim of Boni Tower and Makati Medical Center President and Chief Executive Officer Rose Montenegro.

Racasa had a good start by beating Sophia Ziyan Zhao of the United States in the first round but yielded to 2019 World School Chess Champion Khishigbaatar Bayasgalan of Mongolia in the second round.
