Former World Chess Olympiad member Woman National Master (WNM) Cristina Santos-Fidaer made the country proud anew after settling third place honors in the just ended Texas Women’s Chess Championship tournament held at the Community Room North Richland Hills Library in North Richland Hills, Texas, USA on Sunday.

The former University of Santo Tomas standout collected 3.0 points on three wins and one loss in this 16 player's field.



"Completed Texas Women’s Chess Championship tournament this past weekend. 3 points out of 4 games, I lost to an International Master. I placed 3rd. 16 women entries. Overall, a great tourney organized by extraordinary people- our Veterans from the Texas Armed Forces." she said.-Marlon Bernardino-
