IDARAOS ng OLOPSC Parents Teachers Association Inc. sa pakikipagtulungan ng Concepcion Dos Chess Club ang nalalapit na 1st Inter School Individual Chess Championship sa Agosto 31 na gaganapin sa OLOPSC DS Hall (Our Lady of Perpetual Succor College-Dionisio A. Salvador Hall) Campus na matatagpuan sa General Ordoñez St. Concepcion Uno sa Marikina City.
Ang one-day National Chess Federation of the Philippines sanctioned tournament ay bukas sa lahat ng non titled, rated at non rated chess players ayon kay PTA-VP (Parents Teachers Association-Vice President) at Project Chairman Marvin Manalang.
Ang torneong ito ay hinati sa 2 divisions, Kiddies (12 years old and below born 2007 with maximum rating of 2050 and below) at Juniors (17 years old and below born 2002 with maximum rating of 2050 and below) ani pa G. Manalang.
"Mark your calendar chess enthusiasts and make the best move ever in this battle of the squares." sabi ni Pastor Ranier Pascual ng Concepcion Dos Chess Club.
"We do this to promote chess in the grass-roots level and discover future chess talents," giit naman ni OLOPSC chess coach Mark Rodrigo.
Ang Registration fee ay P300 (On-Site Registration ay P350) sa seven-round Swiss System tournament. Ang Time control format ay 20 minutes plus 5 seconds delay mode.
Tatangapin ng magkakampeon sa Kiddies division ang P2,000 plus Plaque, maibubulsa ng second placer ang P1,500 plus medal, nakalaan sa third placer ang P1,000 plus medal, habang ang fourth hanggang fifth ay mag-uuwi ng tig P500 plus medals at ang sixth hanggang tenth ay makakatangap ng medals.
May special prizes para sa Most Number of Atendees (Plaque), Top Olopscian Kiddie (Plaque) at Top Olopscian Junior (Plaque).
Ang magkakampeon naman sa Juniors division ay magsusubi ng P4,000 plus Plaque, ang second placer ay P2,000 plus medal, ang third placer ay P1,000 plus medal, ang fourth ay P700 plus medal, ang fifth ay P600 plus medal, ang sixth ay P500 plus medal habang ang seventh hanggang tenth placers ay tig P300 plus medals.
Kabilang sa mga naunang nagpatala ay sina Mervin Sebastian Manalang, grade five pupil ng OLOPSC, Tabitha Cara Pascual, grade 5 varsity player ng Marikina Christian Integrated School (MCIS) at Adrian Alarcon, grade 2 varsity chess player ng Marikina Christian Integrated School (MCIS).
