13-times National Open Champion Grandmaster (GM) Rogelio “Joey” Antonio Jr. will hold simultaneous chess exhibition on July 19 (Friday), 9 a.m. at the lobby of AFAB (Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan) in Mariveles, Bataan.
Mr. Antonio will play against select AFAB workers, students, executives, seniors for 30 players during the event organized and hosted by Chairman/Administrator Emmanuel Pineda and assisted by Corporate Affairs Department Head Eliza Calimag, Ms. Aileen Grace Pizarro and Mr. Jephoi Clemente.
At 1 p.m., there will be a Chairman's Chess Cup 2019 Tournament for 20 minutes time control and 5 Rounds Swiss System according to Mr. Ebennezer "Benz" Batul, one of the top players of Mariveles Chess Team.
National Arbiter Alfredo Chay of the Chess Arbiter Union of the Philippines will serve as chief arbiter in the said affair.-Marlon Bernardino-
