It's green and go for the 1st Hampton Gardens Tatlohan Chess Team Tournament 2000 limit rating on June 23, Sunday at the Hampton Gardens, 100 C. Raymundo Avenue, Maybunga, Pasig City.
Metro Manila pawnpushers will surely have their hands full as out-of-town players from Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Batangas, Laguna, Cavite, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan and Tarlac have already confirmed their participation in the one-day tiff that is expected to draw at least 60 teams.
Each team shall be composed of three players with an average National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) rating of 2000. Master and Woman Titled Player are allowed to join in the team tournament.
According to tournament organizer Genghis Katipunan Imperial, the one-day National Chess Federation of the Philippines sanctioned tournament is a seven round Swiss System format applying 20 minutes using match point system with 5 seconds delay per player to finish the game.
The champion will take home P30,000, the second placer will pocket P20,000, while the third to seventh will receive P10,000, P6,000, P4,000, P3,000 and P2,000, respectively.
Special prizes for the top team performer in the top 1920 and below, top College team, top High school team and top Lady team with P1,000 each while individual gold medal winner for board one, two and three will also likewise to receive P500 each.
Advance Registration fee is P3,000 while On-Site registration is P3,200. Deadline of entries on June 18.
