EVERYTHING is set for the staging of Taguig Pateros Chess Club tournament on April 14, 2019 (Sunday) at the Bagumbayan Sports Complex in Taguig City.
"This is part of our grassroots development program.” said Taguig Pateros Chess Club founding president Mr. Rene Salinas.
The one-day event will feature two division tournament, Non-Master (1950 and below limit rating) and Kiddies 14-year-old and below (1950 and below limit rating).
According to National Arbiter Miel Bautista of the Chess Arbiter Union of the Philippines (CAUP) that cash prizes await winners with the champion in the Non-Master (1950 and below limit rating) division going home with P4,000 and a trophy.
Cash prizes of P2,000, P1,000, P800 and P600 will go to the second to fifth placers, respectively.
The sixth to 8th placers will each settle for P500.
Special prizes (At least Five Participants) for the Top Senior (55 years old and above), Top Lady, Top College and Top High School will each receive for P500.
The champion in the Kiddies 14-years-old and below (1950 limit rating) will likewise to receive P2,000 and a trophy.
Second to Fifth placers will get P1,500, P1,000, P700 and P500 each plus medals.
There will be special prizes for the top three (At Least Three Participants) players in the Under 12, Under 10 and Under-8.
Ten (10) raffle ticket will be drawn before the start of the game. Register between 8:30 am to 10am.
The Six to Seven Round Swiss-system format (depending of the number of participants) will be allotted time of Twenty (20) minutes plus five seconds delay mode using digital chess Clock.-Marlon Bernardino-
