PHILIPPINE chess wizard and wunderkind Jasper Concepcion Faeldonia is vying for the Fide Master Camilo Pangan Birthday Chess Invitational Tournament on Sunday January 13 ,2019 at the Panciteria ni Tess (Old Bus Terminal) Lane 12 in Araneta Center Cubao Quezon City in front of Shopwise Mall and Close to Ali Mall.

Starting time 10 am applying the double round robin, five minutes play to finish time control format.

Backed up by Odiongan, Mayor Trina Firmalo-Fabic, Arellano University, Manila councilor Anton Capistrano and sportsman Reli de Leon, the grade 8 pupil of Arellano University will be pitted against some of the country's best woodpushers.
"I will do my very best in the upcoming Fide Master Camilo Pangan Birthday Chess Invitational Tournament." said Faeldonia who paid a courtesy call to Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) commissioner Charles Raymond Maxey on Thursday, January 10,2019 at the PSC office in Manila.

Faeldonia, the reigning Philippines boys 14 and under champion is fresh from a Co-Champion of the 35th Singapore National Age Group Chess Championships Boys 14 and under category last December 27 to 30, 2018 at the Kallang Theather in Singapore.
Faeldonia who is also a NCAA gold medallist, Milo Little Olympics overall champion, ASEAN age group gold and silver medal winner, Palarong Pambansa Antique silver medallist and Palarong Manila overall champion.
