THE Mayor Jojo Palma and Atty. Titing Albaño Tatluhan Chess Tournament gets underway on November 18, 2018 at the Heros Hall, AIM Coop in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.

The participants of the tournament sanctioned by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines are set to compete in a 7-Round Swiss System format, 15 minutes plus 10 seconds increment each, play to finish in the event organized by the Knights of the Square Table-Mindchess backed up by LGU of Aurora, New York based Atty. Geronimo "Gerry" Albano and Glenn Romanillos of 8990 Holdings Inc.
Tournament director Wilhelm Joey Ardiente said the required average rating for the rapid team event is 2050 based on the August 2018 NCFP rating list.

"Fide laws of Chess Rapid Play shall govern the tournament," said Tournament director Wilhelm Joey Ardiente.

The winning team is set to receive P40,000 and a trophy, while the next four winners will pocket P30,000 and a trophy, P20,000 and a trophy, P,5000 and P4,000, respectively.
The sixth to tenth placers will get P3,000 each.

Other special prizes are best in uniform (P3,000), top junior (P2,000), top kiddies (P2,000), and the three top performer from board one to three (P3,000,P2,000 and P1,000 each).
