DR. JENNY MAYOR reinforced his position as one of the Philippines’ top executive chess players when he ruled the Philippine Executive Chess Association (PECA) 4th leg Alphaland National Executives Chess Circuit Visayas Leg held at the Kubo Bar Garden and Restaurant in Kalibo, Aklan Saturday Night, April 28, 2018, broadcasted live worldwide through the YouTube and Facebook channel of the National Chess Federation of the Philippines.

Mayor defeated National Master (NM) Francis Jocson in the sixth and final round to score 5.5 points on five wins and a draw in six outings.

"First of all I would like to thank God for winning this presitigious national executive chess tournament. My wife who is always beside me and my relative and friends as well." said Mayor, a dentist by profession, a seven-times Philippine Executive Champion.

For winning the Philippine Executive Chess Association (PECA) 4th leg Alphaland National Executives Chess Circuit Visayas Leg , Mayor pocketed P10,000 plus elegant trophy.

Mayor scored victories over Jose Piff Ampuller in the first round, John Franz De Asis in the second round and Atty. Cliburn Anthony A. Orbe in the third round.
He split the point with National Master Wilfredo Neri in the fourth round then beat Santi Jarloc in the fifth round before crushing National Master (NM) Francis Jocson in the sixth and final round.

Atty. Cliburn Anthony A. Orbe placed second overall with 5.0 points to went home runner-up prize of P7,000 plus elegant trophy. After losing his third round match to eventual champion Mayor, Orbe bounced back in contention by beating Anthony Arcangeles in the fourth round, NM Neri in the fifth round and Jarloc in the final canto.

Arcangeles and Hanz Tutica finish tied for 3rd to 4th spots with 4.0 points.

NM Neri led a huge group of 3.5 pointers that includes NM Jocson, Susan Neri, Dioniver "Bobot" Medrano and Pericles Chua.

No less than PLDT MVP Olympics team manager Martin "Binky" Gaticales, Chief arbiter National Master Carlito Lavega assisted by Cyril Telosforo led the closing rites.
Meanwhile, the 5th leg Philippine Executive Chess Association (PECA)Alphaland National Executives Chess Circuit Mindanao Leg is slated on May 26, 2018 at the Punta Isla Lake Resort in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato. A developmental Kiddies event will also simultaneously take place.
