LAHAT ay nakatakda para sa pagtatanghal ng 1st Masonic District Chess Tournament sa Abril 25, 2023 sa Function Hall 1, Tangub City, Misamis Occidental.

Bukas sa lahat ng mahilig sa chess, anuman ang edad, ayon kay National Chess Federation of the Philippines board of director Rey Urbiztondo.
"Our Governor ( first term) was previously a congressman for 3 terms and Deputy Speaker, Governor Atty. VW Henry Sevilla Oaminal, is a Past District Deputy Grand Master and Hiram Awardee, a mason supporter." palinwag ni Urbiztondo, isang Arena Grandmaster.

"In my last term as the incumbent District Deputy Grand Master, he sponsored as our way of supporting him in his sports program, we choose Chess. Being an AGM, HNM and National Director of NCFP. This is the start of the many chess programs for the province. The next plan is the simul and lecture of GM Eugene Torre here in Misamis Occidental," huling pananalita ni Urbiztondo.

Ang three division tournament ay itinataguyod ni Governor Atty. VW Henry Sevilla Oaminal na tampok dito ang 12 Under Category, 17 Under Category at Open Category na nag-aalok ng tig-P3,000 para sa magka kampeon. Ang 2nd hanggang 5th placers ay tatanggap ng P2,000, P1,000, P750 at P500 habang ang 6th hanggang 10th placers ay mag-uuwi ng P200 bawat isa. P500 bawat isa ang naghihintay para sa Top Junior at Top Lady.-Marlon Bernardino-
