MANILA, Philippines – Papangunahan ni inaugural champion Sherwin Tiu ang mga malakas na kalahok sa pagtulak ng Chess Infinitum Invitational Rapid Tournament 4th Edition sa SM Sucat Building B sa Paranaque City ngayon Linggo, Abril 9, 2023.

Si Tiu ang paboritong kalahok sa 7-round Swiss system tournament dahil sa kanyang impressive showing sa first edition.

Ang 15 minutes plus 5 seconds increment time control format na suportado ni Cebu chess patron Boojie Lim at inorganisa naman ni International Master Roderick Nava ng Kamatyas Chess Club ay may top purse P15,000.
Masisilayan din ay sina defending champion Rowel Roque, Richard dela Cruz, Eduardo Campos Jr., Arvin Betonio, Edwin Caballero, Ryan Recososa, Darwin Secorata, Rommel Lucion at Jerome Angelo Aragones.
Ang iba pang woodpushers na kalahok sa event ay sina IM Barlo Nadera, WIM Kylen Joy Mordido, Chester at Mark Gerald Reyes, Freddie at Francis Talaboc, Julian Paul at Jericho Ivan Querubin, Marlon at Alcomedes Constantino, Arjoe at Michelle Loanzon, Jefferson Pascua, Jalbert Vilan, Robvy Jemuel Wong, Kurt William Daantos at Richie Jocson.

"Infinitum, a variation of chess game created by Cebu chess patron Boojie Lim back in the early 2000, uses a semi 10 x 10 board and standard chess pieces and uses only six pawns with an additional piece called the wizard on each side," sabi ni IM Nava.

"Cebu chess patron Boojie Lim, former director of the National Chess Federation of the Philippines and chief executive of Rose Pharmacy Inc., brought back the game for the new generation of players as well as those who have grown to love his invention," dagdag ni IM Nava.-Marlon Bernardino-
Makikita sa larawang ito si International Arbiter at National Master Lincoln "Linky" Yap na ipinakikilala ang Chess Infinitum sa Puerto Princesa City, Palawan kamakailan kasama si Cebu chess patron Boojie Lim.
Ang Filipino-invented variant ng chess ay may kasamang Wizards at Magic Squares sa buong board.
Ang Infinitum isang variation of chess game na created ni Lim , dating director ng National Chess Federation of the Philippines at chief executive ng Rose Pharmacy Inc.  back ng early 2000.
