Anthony Joshua is chomping at the bit to get a fight against Tyson Fury, who he strongly believes deserved a win over WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder last December. Joshua (22-0, 21 KOs) is hoping that Fury will agree to fight him after he faces Wilder (40-0-1, 39 KO) in their rematch, which still hasn’t been negotiated.

The World Boxing Council ordered Wilder and Fury to face each other again to clear up the controversy of their fight on December 1. That fight was scored a 12 round draw.

Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman (29-0, 22 KOs) believes he’s earned a fight against Manny Pacquiao following his 12 round majority decision win over Josesito Lopez (36-8, 19 KOs) on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Pacquiao, 40, hasn’t picked out his next opponent yet, and he might not get a lot of credit from boxing fans if he selects Thurman after the way he performed tonight against Lopez. The victory for Thurman enables him to hold onto his WBA Super World welterweight title.

WBC featherweight champion Gary Russell Jr. (29-1, 17 KOs) says he’s hoping to meet up with WBA Super World 126 lb champion Leo Santa Cruz (35-1-1, 19 KOs) this summer in July in a unification fight. Russell Jr. plans on fighting in April, and he thinks there’s more than enough time for Santa Cruz to come back from his fight next month.

Multiple sources have informed BoxingScene.com that preliminary reports from cable and satellite companies, as well as streaming sources, indicate Showtime’s four-fight Pacquiao-Broner broadcast Saturday night from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas is tracking toward 400,000 pay-per-view buys in the United States.

WBA Super World welterweight champion Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman (28-0, 22 KOs) is looking past his fight this Saturday night against Josesito Lopez (36-7, 19 KOs) towards a more lucrative fight with superstar Manny Pacquiao (61-7-2, 39 KOs). Pacquiao wants the money he can only get fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a mega-fight. Thurman isn’t highly popular the way Mayweather, and there’s not a lot of money Pacquiao can make fighting him right now.

NEW YORK CITY (Jan. 23, 2019) — Michael “Mick” Conlan is set to paint the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden green on St. Patrick’s Day for a third consecutive year. The Belfast native, two-time Irish Olympian, and top featherweight prospect packed the Hulu Theater to the rafters in 2017 and 2018 and will return on Sunday, March 17 to face the battle-tested Ruben Garcia Hernandez in the 10-round main event.

Conlan-Hernandez will begin following the conclusion of the annual NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
