(Feb. 18, 2019) — Tyson Fury, one of the world’s most dynamic and popular heavyweight boxers, and Hall of Fame promoter Frank Warren are joining forces with Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum’s Top Rank. The agreement will mean that Fury will be a headline part of the boxing lineup under the historic, long-term Top Rank on ESPN relationship.

Fury, the undefeated lineal heavyweight champion, will have his bouts co-promoted by Top Rank and Queensberry Promotions. The deal calls for a minimum of two bouts per year in the United States.

The rumors have been confirmed that Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller 23-0-1 (20) will get his title shot on June 1st at Madison Square Garden, New York against Anthony Joshua. It’s not the most exciting fight of all time but I’d like to defend AJ and Eddie Hearn on this one and say it was the best choice they could have made. The fight ticks a lot of boxes in terms of Hearn’s promotional agenda, his obligations to DAZN and most importantly Anthony Joshua.

WBA/WBO lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (12-1, 9 KOs) thinks unbeaten contender Teofimo Lopez (12-0, 10 KOs) is using his name to get attention from the media and the boxing fans.

Lopez says he would be more than glad to face the 21-year-old Teofimo inside the ring, but he needs to least become a mandatory challenger before he does so, Loma said in an interview at boxingtalk.com.

PHILADELPHIA (Feb. 13, 2019) — The Nail and the Mean Machine are ready for their South Philly close-up.

WBC and lineal light heavyweight champion Oleksandr “The Nail” Gvozdyk will make the first defense of his world title against Doudou Ngumbu on Saturday, March 30 at the 2300 Arena. In the 10-round co-feature, Gvozdyk’s stablemate, top welterweight contender Egidijus “Mean Machine” Kavaliauskas, will take on Philadelphia native Ray Robinson.

Rob Brant (24-1, 16 KOs) will be making his first defense of his WBA World middleweight tonight against undefeated and largely unknown fringe contender Khasan Baysangurov (17-0, 7 KOs) in the main event in a triple header at the Grand Casino, in Hinckley, Minnesota. Brant-Baysangurov is the main event on ESPN/ESPN Deportes. The card starts at 9:00 PT. The undercard fights begin at 6:00 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
