In a highly competitive fight, WBA/WBO lightweight champion Vasiliy Lomachenko (14-1, 10 KOs) defeated Luke Campbell (20-3, 16 KOs) by a 12 round unanimous decision to capture the vacant WBC 135-lb title on Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London, England. Both fighters were hurt numerous times in the fight. The size and the power of Campbell gave Lomachenko a lot of problems tonight.

Light heavyweight world titlist Sergey Kovalev knows his days as a professional boxer are numbered, but that is not going to prevent the 36-year-old from unchecking the remaining items on his bucket list. The WBO light heavyweight champion would like at least five more fights and become the undisputed champion before hanging up his gloves. “For myself, what I see,” Kovalev said, “like five more fights and to be the undisputed champion.” When he ultimately decides to end his career makes no difference, Kovalev is a certain first-ballot Hall of Fame fighter.

Anthony Joshua is calling people “shallow-minded, Small-minded” for them suggesting that he replace his trainer Rob McCracken to help him with his December 7th rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr. Rather than the advice given by fans and former fighters trying to be helpful, Joshua has refused, and is labeling the people as “small-minded.”
