Lightweight champions Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis and Devin Haney traded trash talk on social media on Sunday. WBC 135-lb champion Haney (25-0, 15 KOs) let WBA champ Tank (24-0, 23 KOs) know that he’s ready to fight him tomorrow.

Rather than take Haney up on his offer, Davis started talking money, saying he made more for his last fight against Leo Santa Cruz than he did last Saturday against Yuriorkis Gamboa.

Haney took care of business, beating the former IBF/WBA featherweight champion Gamboa (30-4, 18 KOs) by a 12 round unanimous decision at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Hollywood, Florida. Devin beat Gamboa by the scores 118-108, 120-107, and 120-107.Unlike Tank’s recent fight on Showtime pay-per-view against Santa Cruz on October 31st, Haney’s bout against Gamboa was streamed live on DAZN.
Haney, 21, says he’s ready to fight for all the belts starting with his next fight, but he’s going to need cooperation from Tank Davis and IBF/WBA/WBC/WBO 135lb champ Teofimo Lopez.Haney: “The little fat boy hates me and fear me at the same time. They say everything but let’s fight Duck. How much you made at 21? 30k? I’m getting millions at 21 GOOFY.”Tank: “How you making money and your cars not paid for?? Relax, Lil bro. And don’t make me hurt ya feelings about ole girl too. But I’m keep shut.

“Hold up and ole boy posting me…just know I made more money than you last night and the other two people that fought the other night.

“All put together…CLOWNS. Grow up.My daughter hit harder than ole boy wtf. I’m crazy, lol.

Haney: We can fight tomorrow. I promise you.”Tank: “How can you be a fly, bum?”

Haney: “On my life, I didn’t make one million. I guarantee you I made more than one million. In my life. I’ve got facts to back it up.”

Tank: “Don’t lie. You know you can’t talk money to me.”

Haney: “I definitely made more than one million.”

The boxing public may need to wait a while before Davis and Haney are given the green light by their management to make this fight.Mayweather Promotions wants Tank to defend against Ryan Garcia next if he is victorious in his contest against Luke Campbell on December 5th. Both King Ryan and Tank will make a fortune from the pay-per-view for their fight in 2021.

The only thing that’s blocking the path to Davis vs. Garcia taking place next year is Campbell. It’s a tough fight for the 22-year–old Ryan to be taking at this early juncture of his career, as Campbell has a lot more experience than him.

If Ryan loses to Campbell, it could lead to Davis taking on Haney next. Davis isn’t going to wait around to see if Ryan can avenge his loss to Campbell. Tank will move, and the next possible option would be Haney, as long as Mayweather Promotions gives him his blessing.
