Not only does he have a golden fist, but a golden heart too!

Once again, the Filipino fighter and champion Manny Pacquiao has taken home a new win that makes many Filipinos proud. Not only does he make every Filipino happy with the results he brings in, but his kind-heartedness towards the less fortunate is something Manny Pacquiao never forgets to do.

Called the ‘Pambansang Kamao’ in the Philippines, the now senator Manny Pacquiao definitely knows how to capture the hearts of many.

Manny Pacquiao said in an interview: “Every income I receive in boxing, almost half of it goes to the less fortunate. After each fight, half of my income goes to the poor. But I don’t like to announce it.”

Many came from a poor household and understands how poverty affects the lives of many in the Philippines. According to Forbes, Pacquiao’s income from career purses and endorsements is around $500 million—and half of that goes to the less fortunate.

Along with his many projects, Pacquiao has built 1,500 homes on the island of Mindanao. He also helped to buy a fleet of new boats for fishermen in a coastal community.

While many Filipino citizens are urging him to quit boxing, Pacquiao says he needs to keep fighting so he can continue the charity work that has done throughout much of his 21-year boxing career. Pacquiao was elected to the Philippine Senate in May. He sits on 15 committees, two of which he chairs.

“I enjoy politics because I do not have a hidden agenda. I serve honestly,” he said.
