Unbeaten Mexican 160-pounder Jaime Munguía has completed his preparation in Temoaya, reporting to fans that he is in excellent shape for his fight on Saturday, February 19 in Tijuana, Mexico.


Munguía will headline a spectacular co-promotion of Zanfer and Golden Boy at the Monumental Plaza of Tijuana, live in Mexico on TV Azteca 7 and worldwide on DAZN.
Munguía (38-0, 30 KO's) will defend his WBO Middleweight Intercontinental title against 🇺🇸 Ballard (21-0-1, 13 KO's), in a duel between undefeated world-rank warriors.


The clash is important as winner would likely get a shot a the middleweight world crown later this year... and who will the winner be?
Munguía had a very intense training in his high-altitude camp in Temoaya, where he profusely swear for 6 weeks.
On his last day of preparation, Minguia did a 12-round session with sparring partners, showing great conditioning, strength, power and recovery.


Meanwhile, his opponent 🇺🇸 Ballard reported that he trained with 100% focus for a pressure battle to be fought hard from the first round,
Ballard trained Under the supervision of his coach Barry Hunter, who is also the coach of Gervonta Davis.
Coach Davis has known Ballard since the times when Ballard competed as amateur as Davis was part of the group of coaches of the USA amateur boxing team.


• AGENDA OF ACTIVITIES
Munguía and Ballard will demonstrate the results of their preparation camps in a public training session to be held this coming Wednesday at 2:00 p.m., at the Azteca San Diego Boxing Club, located in the town of Bonita in Chula Vista, Tijuana.
Then the agenda of activities continues on Thursday with the final presscon to be held at the Grand Hotel Tijuana starting at 12 noon.
The fighters will be present at the presscon, as well as their respective work teams and representatives of Zanfer and Golden Boy Promotions.
Friday Feb 18 will be weigh-in time where both boxers need to be inside the limit of middleweights: 160 pounds.
The thrilling fight on Saturday, Feb 19, will unfold at Tijuana's Plaza Monumental, located by the beautiful sea.
Show starts at 3:15 p.m.
