Filipino "Journeyman" Mark John Yap (30-15-, 15 KO's) from the beloved City of Golden Friendship, Cagayan de Oro, feels ready to clash against unbeaten Cuban Jadier Herrera (5-0, 5 KO's) for the vacant WBA Asia South Super Featherweight Title February 26 at the plush Emirates Golf Club in the City of Gold, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Mark John Yap - whose last two fights have been entertaining rumbles in Las Vegas - will fly to "The City of Gold, Dubai, the home of the world-famous Burj Khalifa. But for that, all official protocols and requirements need to get successfully cleared, his team working on it.
A former OPBF Champion, the battle-tested Mark John Yap steps up to rumble the promising 19-year-old Herrera from Camaguey, Cuba, as the late-sub for original Herrera's opponent Jenel "Demolition Man" Lausa.
Unfortunately, Jenel Lausa was removed as Herrera's foe after the Iloilo native got injured in a motor accident caused by a reckless J&T Express staff two weeks ago in Manila.
Indeed, Jenel Lausa (10-0-1, 6 KO's), a former UFC fighter, crashed while riding his motorbike as an incautious J&T Express employed suddenly opened the side-door of his J&T Express vehicle without checking for incoming traffic at the moment when Jenel was riding home after a sparring session.
The collision injured the Pinoy's right fist and affected his right arm and shoulder.
After being checked by GAB chief physician Dr. Radentor Viernes, Jenel Lausa was required to stop all physical activity for a period of time that could be 1-2 months till symptoms subside, and we all wish well to the "Demolition Man."
That's why Mark John Yap will get bags packed for Dubai. He will rumble the less-experienced Jadier Herrera in a co-main event war for the vacant WBA Asia South 130 lbs strap and the possibility of an inclusion in the world rankings.
The February 26 show in Dubai is promoted by active man of boxing Phucan An Nguyen of People's Fighters.
"Herrera vs Lausa has been deleted for the moment. So, Mark John Yap steps up to the plate to battle Jadier Herrera for WBA Asia Title here in Dubai.
