WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis ‘Superman’ Stevenson (29-1, 24 KOs) and Badou Jack (22-1-2, 13 KOs) will be fighting each other on May 19 on Showtime at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada, according to Dan Rafael.

Up until today, the Stevenson vs. Jack fight was going to take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. This is the 40-year-old Stevenson’s hometown. It’s unknown why the fight has been moved suddenly.

Heavyweight Dillian Whyte is giving former heavyweight title challenger Hughie Fury a take it or leave it offer to fight him on February 3 at the O2 Arena in London, UK. That’s when Whyte plans on fighting again. Hughie (20-1, 10 KOs) wants a full training camp to get ready for the Whyte fight, but that’s not going to be possible.

The 23-year-old Hughie is interested in fighting Whyte on the undercard of the Tony Bellew vs. David Haye card on May 5. Unfortunately, Whyte (22-1, 16 KOs) is not interested in staying out of the ring for the next 5 months waiting for a fight with Hughie. Whyte wants to fight in February and then in April.

KUALA LUMPUR—Philippine boxing legend Manny Pacquiao insisted Friday that his advancing years were no barrier to success as he gears up for a showdown against world champion Lucas Matthysse and prepares for several more fights before retiring for good.

Pacquiao, 39, will fight the Argentine—four years his junior—for the World Boxing Association welterweight belt on July 15 in Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur.

Danny Jacobs got his confidence builder fight out of the way last Saturday night in beating Luis Arias by a 12 round decision, and now he’s interested in facing Saul Canelo Alvarez or Gennady “GGG” Golovkin.

Jacobs’ promoter Eddie Hearn has already spoken to Peter Nelson of HBO to let him know that they’re ready and willing to step in to face Golovkin if Golden Boy Promotions and Canelo choose not to take the rematch with GGG. Jacobs (33-2, 29 KOs) wants to avenge his loss to Golovkin from March 18, as he feels he won that fight but wasn’t given credit for it by the 3 judges.

Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn was amused by Deontay Wilder’s request of a 50-50 split of the revenue for a unification fight against Anthony Joshua in 2018. Hearn says he was “speechless” after hearing of Wilder’s wish for an even split of the money for the Joshua fight.

Hearn believes Wilder must have been joking when he made the request. Hearn sees Wilder’s request as a starting point for the negotiations, but obviously he’s not going to get that split.
