British promoter Eddie Hearn says he wants to ink Jermall and Jermell Charlo to his Matchroom Boxing stable, and he says he’ll pay them a lot more than they’re getting right now. Hearn says the Charlo brothers currently don’t have a promoter, so he wants to sign them both.

Hearn currently has one American in his Matchroom stable in former IBF middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs (33-2, 29 KOs), who is fighting this Saturday night on April 28 against Maciej Sulecki (26-0, 10 KOs) in a WBA 160 lb. title eliminator on HBO World Championship Boxing at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The management for WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has made a big $50 million counter offer to IBF/WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing for a unification fight, according to Dan Rafael of ESPN.

The $50 million is part of a 50% split of the revenue, which Team Wilder believe will be at least $100 million. If the Joshua-Wilder fight makes more than $100 million, then Joshua will make more than his $50 million.

Golden Boy Promotions boss Oscar De La Hoya has confirmed that Saul Canelo Alvarez will be fighting IBF/IBO/WBA/WBC middleweight champion Gennady ‘GGG’ Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs) in a rematch on September 15.

De La Hoya says Canelo will not only fight Golovkin, but he’s also going thrash him. De La Hoya thinks Canelo has been given a bum rap over his positive tests for clenbuterol, and he thinks a lot of boxing fans are going to dislike him because of that.
