THE 1st Vandal 10-Ball Amateur Handicapping Billiard Tournament is slated on May 17 at the Vandal Sports Bar, 107 Mother Ignacia Avenue, Quezon City.

The champion will earn P70,000 plus a trophy. The second placer will get P30,000 plus a trophy, third P15,000 plus a trophy and fourth P8,000.
Fifth to 8th will earn P3,000 each while Ninth to 16th placer will went home P1,500 each.

INTERNATIONAL snooker/billiards champion Marlon "Marvelous Captain" Manalo will showcase his talent in the money-rich 43rd US Open 9-Ball Championship on April 21 to 26, 2019 at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

He will make his return to the pool world after a long hiatus when he competes in this year’s $300,000 total pot prize tournament, the US Open 9-ball, the longest-running pool tournament in the United States.

2016 Olympic super heavyweight silver medalist Joe Joyce (7-0, 7 KOs) has been elevated to #7 in the World Boxing Association’sheavyweight rankings following his recent first round knockout victory over Joe Hanks (23-3, 15 KOs) on December 1 on the undercard of Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The victory over Hanks has Joyce sitting in a strong spot #5, within striking distance of a title shot against WBA Super World champion Anthony Joshua, and in position to go after the eventual winner of the vacant WBA ‘regular’ heavyweight title.
